If you are wondering where I get my inspiration for songs, this is a really good example of something that gets my juices flowing:

The other day, I got a flyer in my windshield wipers. I didn't read it, I just grabbed it and threw it in my car. I found it again tonight as I was looking for something else. It got my attention this time. It said "Please stop the mass killing of Falun Gong practitioners for illegal organ harvesting." After reading the whole article, all I could say was "If this is all true, then what the hell are we doing in Iraq?" This may be our country's chance to really do a good thing and stop genocide. It's like the holocaust all over again...we can do something about it. But why won't we? Because Bush is a pansy. We do too much business with China and it would be an economical disaster. I just wish people in this world would be more honorable. Why does it all have to be run by money? I wish I could start an army to go over there and bust the camps and save the lives of the innocent.

For a series of reports on the Sujiatun death camp, please visit: http://www.theepochtimes.com/211,111,,1.html

And just to lighten things up a bit, I thought I'd let you know about all the other sad things that have happened lately. Yesterday the famous test pilot Scott Crossfield crashed his little cessna. He was the first guy to break mach 2. Then today, my childhood cat, Sandy died. My Dad e-mailed me to tell me. His letter cracked me up though....

"We had plans to take her to the vet on Saturday to be euthanized, but she stopped drinking even water about 3 days ago and then she went pretty fast.

The weird things were that 3 or 4 nights ago I dreamed that I picked Sandy up and she broke in half. Then I saw just her 2 front legs, chest, and head walking toward me without her body. Then, last night I dreamed that she died and I put her in a bag in a van to go bury her. But she wasn't really dead. When I heard something and looked in the van, her head broke through the bag and she meowed and then she morphed into a composite of you 2 girls. But all that was there was most of a head and part of a torso. One eye was hanging out, and I popped it back in.

Then I woke up with the radio alarm and went out to find Sandy lying dead by my easy chair. I thought she might die in the night because she was lying on her side and couldn't get up when I went to bed at 10 pm. I stroked her and sang her a song and then said goodbye. I heard a weak meow about 5 minutes later as I went to bed and nothing more all night. There could've been nights before that she had sort of moaned off and on most of the night. So, now she is in kitty heaven."

Other than all that, I had a great little gig tonight in Ventura. But I hit my lip on the mic and it started bleeding. Also, it's really exciting that "Where'd You Go" is doing so well, though I don't have TV so I haven't seen it on TRL, sadly. And I'm starting to put a band together so hopefully in the near future my shows will sound more like the record! I have had so much fun doing all the music acoustically, but I think it's time for a change.

Damn, I'm sorry this journal is so depressing. Hopefully it will be more cheerful next time. Love you all.... Holly

sad to read that. my dog died a couple of months, the weird thing is that he was like a brother for me, 12 years most of time together. damn.
And it would be bad to try to find smth symbolic in that dream, i think your dad just worried about the cat's health and about you (as every good parent, i think), and that resulted in such a dream

Falun Gong's story has been discredited

US government announced finding of its investigation - no evidence of concentration camp:

"Officers and staff from our embassy in Beijing and consulate in Shenyang have visited the area and the specific site mentioned in these reports on two separate occasions," McCormack said.

"In these visits the officers were allowed to tour the entire facility and grounds and found no evidence that the site is being used for any function other than as a normal public hospital."

Even it it's discredited, Bush is still a Pansy, and this government doesn't act upon shit unless it means more oil or money for them.

Aww, I'm sorry about your kitty!~

And even though the story has been discredited, Bush is still a pansy. Plus several other adjectives that aren't very nice.

I'm sorry about your cat. I've never been attached to pets until I finally experienced what it's like being close to one- my boyfriend's dog.

And the Falun Gong flyers- some women were spreading word of that on my campus (UNLV). I ended up signing a petition they were holding to end that genocide. It's sad because I still don't see anything about it in the news, let alone having to see these two small, old Chinese women pleading for students' attention on the sidewalk, just to read a blue pamphlet and sign a piece of paper. Our government hasn't done anything about it yet.

Would you give us the lyrics for the song "Giving it up"?
